Logistics “2024 Problem”
From April 2024, overtime work for truck drivers will be capped at 960 hours per year. Among logistics companies facing chronic labor shortages, 29% of trucking companies have drivers who exceed the maximum hours. This issue has been called the ``2024 problem'' due to concerns that transportation capacity will shrink, and we are asking companies to cooperate with us on a daily basis to reduce the number of deliveries in order to improve the efficiency of small-lot deliveries.
We at Nansin support the purpose of the "White Logistics" promotion movement in September 2021, and have declared a voluntary action declaration to realize sustainable logistics.
In order to improve logistics, we will continue to make efforts to improve the efficiency of small-lot deliveries, with the aim of streamlining work time and workload, including reducing waiting times and drivers' manual handling of cargo.
